'Twin' Tower ??



PETRONAS Twin Towers are the tallest twin towers in the world, that standing 1,483 feet high with 88 storeys and its status has remained unchallenged since 1996. We welcome you to Malaysia’s proudest icon and architectural wonder, lined with an endless shopping and touring experience.

Majestic by day and dazzling at night, the PETRONAS Twin Towers is inspired by Tun Mahathir Mohamad's vision for Malaysia to be a global player. Together with master architect Cesar Pelli, the international icon powerfully captures the nation's ambitions and aspirations.


KLCC PARK

The 17-acre (69,000 m2) KLCC Park is located below this structure and features walking and jogging paths, a fountain pool with light displays, wading pools, and playground equipment for kids. One of Malaysia's biggest shopping malls is Suria KLCC.


DESIGN

The interior motifs are designed to resemble Malaysia’s local handicrafts and weaving patterns, with a stunning combination of stainless steel and glass finishing on the building to form beautiful Islamic patterns. The design of each tower floor plate is based on simple Islamic geometric forms of two interlocking squares, creating a shape of an eight-pointed star. Architecturally, these forms represent the important Islamic principles of unity, harmony, stability and rationality.

Culture of Malaysia

Malaysia is a diverse and multicultural country located in Southeast Asia. Its culture is a rich blend of various ethnicities, religions, and traditions. National Monument

  The Tugu Negara is a national monument that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. It is located in the Federal capital, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is situated near the monument. It is the world's tallest bronze freestanding sculpture grouping. Until 2010, on 31 July on Warriors' Day, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Prime Minister, and the heads of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysia Police pay their respects to the fallen heroes by laying garlands at the monument. Warriors' Day is now commemorated on Merdeka Square, after ultra-conservative religious bureaucrats declared the sculpture to be idolatrous.
